The Belzer Connection, SciFi's talk-show style conspiracyfest, looks intriguing—it airs tonight at 10 and 10:30 (9/9:30 C).

Just what the wackos need (with due apologies to thelonewacko), encouragement. Still, Belzer is an interesting/funny guy.

I liked this show better when it was called The Conspiracy Zone with Kevin Nealon.

No, wait, strike that. I hated that show. And this one has one less Kevin Nealon and one more Richard Belzer. That puts it right around "unwatchable".

Paul Shaffer proposes a "Warren Commission to look into exactly how [Belzer] died.": Funny Belzer roast (not safe for work)

Nobody will ever speak better on the subject than Eco did in "Foucault's Pendulum". Problem is, you can't just enjoy the wackos after reading it. There is an element of desperation to the whole practice that I find it difficult to smile through.

That is, until the rambling gets passive aggressive, as it is want to do.

Belzer's book on conspiracy theories was actually pretty good, so hopefully the show will be worth watching. I hope Belzer has Harlan Ellison as a guest though. Ellison tore apart some nutjobs on the Conspiracy Zone, and I'd like to see that sort of thing happen on this new show. Then again, the Sci-Fi Channel has no problem chasing after UFOs or promoting that noxious Crossing Over guy, so I'm not holding my breath.

Harlan Ellison is great. The man has no tolerance for stupidity. If Belzer books him watch the sparks fly about 30 seconds into the segment.

    nm156,

Harlan Ellison's great. He once accused Spiro Agnew of jerking off with Reader's Digest.

Kevin Nealon? Wasn't he that third-rate Chevy Chase knockoff on SNL? I hated Chase on sight, so this guy absolutely made me sick.

Did anyone catch this? The two epsiodes tonight are the only ones scheduled for two months (?!)

I liked this show better when it was called The Conspiracy Zone with Kevin Nealon.

Speaking of, did anyone catch that the new Showtime 9/11 Bush propaganda movie was produced by Rovebuddy Lionel Chetwyn, who threatened Alex Jones backstage when they appeared on Nealon's show?

Gads...Garafalo and Franken were on as I flipped past it last night...(shudder)

Kevin: hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! Hadn't heard that one before. Thanks.
