Phil Carter has a good bit on this.

After reviewing lifeandliberty.gov, I just have one question:
Exactly why are my taxes going to support this hatchet job again?

  3. Warren   22 years ago

    Steve,
Because the price of liberty is eternal vigilance, and you've been napping.

  4. Tom W   22 years ago

    Steve;
We all know from listening to the Democans and Rupublicrats that government knows best. At least as far as us in the citizen taxpayer class are concerned.

I've been thinking that my website is probably doing much more harm to my privacy than any of these crappy laws. Granted, I chose to make the website, while others who prefer to be more anonymous don't really have that option any more b/c of things like Patriot Act.

I'm just saying there is irony the fact that many of us who converse via the web under our real names are complaining about lack of privacy.

    hey Tom W,

Learn to spell, that's DEMOCRAPS and REPUBLICONS

Gov. Howard Dean has an online petition in opposition to the Patriot Act. Go to his website @ http://www.deanforamerica.com/stopashcroft in order to sign the petition.

Fight Back! Contact your representitive and senatores and tell them not to pass Patriot II, not to repeal the sunset provisions in PatriotI and urge them to roll back more of PatriotI. Our freedom might depend on our taking action! Call your friends and loved ones to help as well.

    "representative"

  10. Andrew Lynch   22 years ago

    Rick Barton,

Thanks for the reminder that bitching and moaning to my reps and sens is a much better use of my time than bitching and moaning here at Hit & Run.

Just wrote to Pelosi, Feinstein, and Boxer (without actually bitching and moaning). Not sure what else I can do.

  11. Rick Barton   22 years ago

    Andrew Lynch,

Kudos and thank you. You are a friend of liberty! Maybe you call your family and friends and tell them to do the same.
