Arianna's Ex: 'She's a Chameleon'
You know you're a professional spots-changer when your own ex-husband -- who not only came out of the closet after the divorce, but came out of the closet and questioned his Republican loyalties, to David Freakin' Brock -- calls you a "chameleon" in that New York Times profile you were waiting for. And given Arianna's radically changed positions on Proposition 187 and immigration, this passage was especially intriguing:
After Ms. Huffington stated in interviews her opposition to Proposition 187, a ballot measure that bars immigrants from receiving state services and that Mr. Schwarzenegger supported, Mr. Huffington went out of his way, calling a reporter two times after an interview, to say she had encouraged him to support the measure in his campaign.

Should we be surprised that, even though her chance for power is minute, Ms. Huffington is willing to lie her way to her current public position?
Whoever took that piece of carpet baggage seriously in the first place?
didnt Mary also say no sex for 5,000 donation
I've always wondered how porn could be legal if prostitution was not. Probably some of the guys at Reason know the legal stuff...
Adriana is a bitch! What else is new? Still doesn't change the fact that Prop 187 was right then, and if put on the ballot today, would win by even a larger margin. Mass immigration with a welfare income redistributionist state is nuts. And now with the recent court decision elevating people based on the color of their skin into the constitution, I guess we'll all sail out into the sunset and celebrate DIVERSITY!!
I think it might have something to do with the fact that, in porn, the commercial enterprise is the movie, and the sex is just part of the "script". She's being paid to "act", as it were, not fuck. Not certain, though.
"...this means she's discredited to the point that she becomes irrelevant to public debate..."
I hope not! The hair, the bod, the money! and that accent makes me weak in the knees. I hope she maintains a media presence. Better yet I hope she comes out with a poster.
As for 187, I'm torn. Of course we shouldn't be providing these services for illegal immigrants, we shouldn't be providing them to anybody! That is, the government shouldn't. I shouldn't be forced to pay their way but neither should they be forced to pay mine. The fact that they are here illegally doesn't make it ok to exploit them either.
"...opposition to Proposition 187, a ballot measure that bars immigrants from receiving state services...."
ILLEGALE immigrants. There's a big difference and I'll thank the New York times to remember that. Not that they will because then it'll make us residence of CA look like we had a reason for voting for that "rascist" piece of registration in the first place.
What Arianna's ex should have said:
That bitch so soured me on the vagina that I am afraid to ever return to it...
Canuck:
But does that mean if you filmed the prostitute (or at least part of the encounter) as "amateur porn", that it would be legal?
I don't know if I could hold the camera steady, she might have to bring an "assistant". Heh-heh-heh.

I think the difference may be that when it's porn, a third party (the producer) is paying the two (or more) actors to have sex for the camera. Nobody is paying to participate in the sex. At least, that's one way of looking at it, I don't know how meaningful the distinction is in practice.
I also don't know what would happen if the director/producer decided to be an actor as well. He probably gets his during the casting anyway, so there's no need 🙂
Mark Steyn has two wonderful pieces on the
Arianna at http://www.steynonline.com.
Well, I'm still a Mary Carey supporter. When it comes to naked jumping jacks, there's just no competition.
Josey Wales,
Proposition 13 would likely come closer to losing today, given the demographic changes in the state.
I wonder if Salon will cover this ...
We could all hope that this means she's discredited to the point that she becomes irrelevant to public debate, but that's probably giving the punditry class too much credit.
She's not the only improbable candidate to lie to get elected...

Here I blow wide open that Mary Carey, the adult film star running for governor, lied about her lack of breast implants for political gain.
Plus, I get to say "boobies."
The same people who take her seriously are the ones who take Garofalo and Maher seriously.Losers
Clam didnt Mary also say no sex for 5,000 donation? LOL YEA SURE.I wonder what "sex" is to a porn star?
