Notes from a White House Projectionist
What movies do presidents like to watch? The Telegraph gives us a rundown. Some highlights:
1. Richard Nixon sought solace from the Vietnam protests in old musicals.
2. The only president ever to request an X-rated movie was Jimmy Carter. Alas: It was just Midnight Cowboy.
3. "Lyndon Johnson was not too keen on the cinema, but asked to see The President, a short documentary about himself, a dozen times."
