The Princess of Tides
Kenneth Adelman wanted to document the erosion of California's coast, so he photographed every mile of the shoreline and posted the pictures on the Internet. Included in his project was a photograph of Barbra Streisand's Malibu mansion, and the singer is not pleased. Claiming that Adelman invaded her privacy, she is suing him, his Web hosting service and a company that distributes his work. Adelman's attorney is baffled. "Nobody climbed onto her property, nobody's showing her topless sunbathing—in fact, you don't see any people at all," said Richard Kendall. Streisand is the only property owner to take legal action against Adelman.
