Which Way, Qusay?
"The Americans have sophisticated arms, and we don't have an air defense," [Lt. Gen. Muhammed Abdelkadim] said. "Our weapons are worthless. Otherwise, we could have won the war. If fought man to man, I promise we would have won."
Also, if a frog had wings he wouldn't bump his ass a-hoppin'. Qusay Hussein's disgruntled underlings tell all about his unconventional battlefield doctrine. Keep in mind that Qusay was by most accounts the smarter and more level-headed of the brothers.

we need to teach those arabs a lesson once and for all.
Ya! Lets teach them to make love not war!
"Qusai didn't wear a military uniform, just suit and tie," said an army colonel who requested anonymity. "That made many officers angry, because it showed that he thought he didn't have to be a professional military man to give orders.
"When the war was going well, we overlooked it. But when he started making strange and crazy things, we started talking among each other."
I wonder when the war ever went well from the Iraqi side?
Ah, yes, the old "If they weren't better than us, we would have won" argument.
"If fought man to man, I promise we would have won."
If ifs and buts were candy and nuts, everyday would be Christmas...
Modern dictators seem to be the worst sort of person to have in charge of your country during a war. Just look at all the stupid mistakes Hitler made.
... but the nazis had some pretty fierce weapons and had shit-for-brains (onkel adolf) had any good brains, those jets and rockets could have caused some damage...
as for the iraqis, well... if it weren't for the weapons, tactics, bravery, and guts of their enemy, they woulda won. pttfff.
this reminds me of some burnt out tanks that (were) are east of cairo -- a monument to a battle "we didn't lose too badly" (or so our guide said)
🙂

Well, at least the Iraqis came in second place! They should be proud of that, it's not like they really lost or anything if they got second.
RE: "If 'ifs' and 'butts' were candy and nuts, everyday would be Christmas."
But if they hadn't attacked us on Septemeber 11, 2001, none of this would have happened.
