I believe Lilly Tomlin said it best when she said-
"No matter how cynical you get, it's hard to keep up".
And now my car won't start--Uzbeks drank my battery fluid!
So much for a "moral" FP.
yeah they would be better under islamic fundementalist rule
Anonymous Poster @ 11:56,
Thanks for presenting us with a false dilemma. 🙂
Make that a false fundelemma.
The guy's name is Islam and he's cracking down on Islamic fundamentalists. My head is spinning.
I was going to make a crack about how the Uzbeks would benefit merely from our glorious and righteous presence ? that democracy and human rights would eventually rub off on them, like the Saudis. In reading the story, I saw the Bushies beat me to the punch:

It's tough being a smart-ass these days.
RE: "The guy's name is Islam and he's cracking down on Islamic fundamentalists. My head is spinning."
Suppose the guy's name were Chris and he was cracking down on Christian fundamentalists, would your head still be spinning?
We're talking FUNDAMENTALISM! Hello?
