The Goblet of Fire Runneth Over
In a demonstration of Brian's point about the impossibility of regulating fire safety, the makers of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban are refusing to delay production after sparks from the Hogwarts Express began a 100-acre brushfire in the Highlands over the weekend. "I spoke to the filmmakers and they insisted they were going to continue filming even though we made it clear to them and the train operators our view about filming continuing," said local fire officer Calum Munro. Munro says the filmmakers were warned before filming began that dry conditions had made the area vulnerable to such a blaze. I can't really blame them for not wanting any more delays; those kids aren't getting any younger. The fire took place in the Glenfinnan Estate.
