WHAT??? Anarchists tortured people in Spain? I thought it was a workers paradise? This is just right-wing propaganda, started by capitalists and corporations for sure.

This story is almost certain a joke started by the
Surrealists themselves. I especially suspect
Marcel Duchamp, Man Ray or Meret Oppenheim. I
can just seem them now in the Great Beyond,
cracking up over its renewed life among the
credulous.
