Sanitizing Sin City
The moral crusaders are even stripping the fun out of Las Vegas.
"[Clark County, Nevada] Commissioner Yvonne Atkinson Gates first proposed cleaning up steamy lap dances after an undercover police investigation found that the dancing could progress to sex for money.
"The proposal led to a raucous meeting last summer in which one man said lap dances had health benefits and another accused Ms. Gates of being sexually repressed.
"'I'm not doing this for my sexual anything!' the commissioner yelled, banging her gavel. 'I'm doing this because I think it's right.'"

My Sexual Anything: BEST. BAND NAME. EVER.
I don't get it. Since prostitution is a legal and regulated industry in Nevada what is the problem with a lap dance that progresses into sex for money?
Prostitution is legal in most of Nevada, but not all of it. It's illegal in the counties that contain Las Vegas and Reno.
"Any place you can buy poon is pretty much unsaveable"
Is there any place you can't? Prostitution was a booming country-wide (and world-wide) "industry", last I checked.
What makes you think the [country world] is saveable?
I must say that the image of Commissioner Yvonne "banging her gavel" to protest lap dancing is an, um, striking one.
Any place you can buy poon is pretty much unsaveable...
"Banging the Gavel"...doesn't that make you go blind?
Thanks
