LA INS Dragnets Net Kick In the Bum
Tuesday's invitation-only dragnet of green card scofflaws wasn't just the laziest police roundup since Claude Rains retired from the Vichy police force; it spurred a 3,000-strong demonstration in Los Angeles yesterday. It seems like this should be front page news everywhere, but it's not in the Washington Post or The New York Times, at least not in today's Web front pages. But if you want to play the telephone game, here's an even less charitable write-up from overseas, in the London-based Independent.
