Shaggy and Dog Story
The live-action Scooby-Doo, now out on videotape, is far more enjoyable than any of the cartoons ever were, although it wouldn't be entertaining if the series hadn't been so schlocky. It offers the same pleasures as Galaxy Quest and the Brady Bunch movies do for those of us who grew up watching Star Trek and Sherwood Schwartz sitcoms. Plus, it has an actual surprise ending that's funny and satisfying--something the series never managed.
