Brickbat: Another One Rides the Bus

KCRAKCRAVideo shows Stephanie Wilkerson, a driver with Florida's Hillsborough County School District, literally kicked an 8-year-old special needs student off her bus. The bus had stopped, and the girl asked to get off. Wilkerson told her to wait her turn, and the girl reportedly slapped and pushed her. So Wilkerson put her foot on the girl's back and pushed her out the door. The girl broke her ankle in the fall, and Wilkerson has been charged with aggravated child abuse.

Did they arrest the bird in her hair also?

What they're not saying is that she actually saved the girl's life by killing the python that was on her back and getting ready to strangle and eat her.

Also, I don't really see that this is deserving of a brickbat. I mean nothing really went wrong with 'the system' here (other than everything that's inherently wrong with public schools, bussing, etc.)

And it's not interesting enough to be a human interest thing. Sucks that the kid got a broken ankle from Ms. Crabtree, but she's probably already forgotten about it. I know I have.

Also, when chasing the bluebird of happiness, always watch out for the greyhounds of distraction.

You're like a modern day Peter Pan with such fanciful comments.

You would have to be special needs to be seen taking public transportation. Am I right, people?

You should be on the stage.

    It leaves at noon.

Get a load of Dr. Heckle over here.

    Harden the cockpit doors.

When I first read this on my mobile feed, I was feeling some sympathy for the driver... after all, she was being slapped and pushed by an uncontrollable kid who had been told to wait her turn.

Then her image downloaded... all sympathy gone.

I have to accept and admit my bias against ugly people.

she's not ugly, she's facially challenged

Does she really look any worse than you?

In hindsight, the 8 year old girl probably regrets bragging about how she'd been kicked off better buses than this before.

  • SumpTump||

OK wow I like the sound of this. Wow.

"Special needs" students should ride "special provider" buses.

    But, sequester.

But she's too pretty for jail.
