Announcing the 21st Annual Privatization Report

Reason Foundation, the nonprofit that publishes reason and reason online, has just released its 21st Annual Privatization Report. The study says toll road public-private partnerships and airport privatization were two of the year's biggest trends. It also finds existing federal employees and the private sector competed for contracts in 183 instances last year. These competitions produced a savings of $1.3 billion. Since 2002, 12 percent of the federal workforce has faced competition from the private sector and taxpayers have saved $6.9 billion as a result. The full report is online here.

An accompanying Reason Foundation report, Innovators in Action, features columns by Rudy Giuliani , former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush  and other officials on how to reduce the size and scope of government.

Why the mention of the Report by Giuliani at the end of the article?

This should be front page news? Seems like you all are playing it down.

How often does a major GOP Presidential candidate identify with such an outfront libertarian organization like Reason? Maybe Steve Forbes, but that's it.

Any coincidence that Forbes is now on the Giuliani team?
