Ladies and gentlemen, I present Sen. James Inhofe: the world's worst advocate for climate change skepticism.

I have been called -- my kids are all aware of this -- dumb, crazy man, science abuser, Holocaust denier, villain of the month, hate-filled, warmonger, Neanderthal, Genghis Khan and Attila the Hun. And I can just tell you that I wear some of those titles proudly.

Which of those titles can he wear proudly? Maybe, maybe "Neanderthal," if he's a fan of the 1960s conservative movement's in-jokes. Or maybe all of them, if the insults were flung by particularly bad people. But "Holocaust denier"? OK.

The distinction between 'some' and 'all' is hardly subtle. "hate filled, warmonger" are more problematic from my point of view. And "science abuser"? Don't even joke about that.

Those Abused Science Shelters claim that they're just there to protect Science, but they're actually promoting a hateful, anti-James Inhofe ideology.

Also, in most Science Abuse cases, it was Science that threw the first punch, and James Inhofe was just defending himself.

My guess is that he's proud to be called those things because of who it is calling him them, not because he looks in the mirror and sees himself that way. I figured I wouldn't be the only one to see it that way, but it must be Simple Monday.
