melanie morgan? good luck with that one, she's got the i.q. of a
turnip.
couldn't get booked on armstrong and getty? they're funny, at
least.
Tuesday, Feb. 20, 10 am mountain time, KOA, 850 on the AM
dial, Denver, the Mike Rosen Show.
For what it's worth: Mike Rosen sold
his credibility when he became a shill for the football stadium
tax, which passed in 1998. Ask him if he got some nice luxury seats
and Superbowl tickets for his efforts.
He may be a capitalist --as in favoring those with capital. But a
free-marketeer he is not.
I was actually a phone-in guest on Mike Rosen the morning of
April 17, 1999, to discuss the war in Kosovo (which I honestly knew
almost nothing about, except that my employers were against it.)
Later that day, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold shot up Columbine
High School.
I like to think these are unrelated events.
Kudos on your new volume, Brian! Just started the book and I'm
quite enjoying it. In fact, it's hard for me to put down.
I was just on Mike Rosen's show Monday talking about the global
warming issue, so I'm not sure they'll let me on to talk with you
about Radicals for Capitalism but if they will, I'll call
ya.
Brian- I picked up the book last week and am almost 100 pages
in. Great intro/survey for someone like me who hasn't read in depth
most of the people you cover.
Though I gotta say, it makes me depressed to think about how far we
have fallen as a nation from the libertarian sentiments that
surrounded the Revolution and founding.
I am listening to your call to Mike Rosen in Denver and just want to say, you are doing a great job. KOA is a powerhouse in Denver so I hope it really helps sales of your book (Limbaugh etc, is on this station).
It'd be nice if this sort of event, and Reason sponsored
get-togethers in various cities were posted at a single spot, or
that you could set up email alerts to various subscribers. The
Reason Foundation does event alerts but it's evidently just for the
biggies.
Any book signings? Coming to DC?
Great job on Rosen's show, Brian. Perhaps your volume will inspire the next renowned libertarian intellectual, as I'm sure it will inspire the "full service libertarian network" that you mentioned on the radio.
Tobycat---The actual taking my body around the country stuff
will start in March, and yes a DC visit in late march is planned.
Stay tuned. Big radio and TV stuff will continue to be mostly noted
on hit and run, but for the full court press of Rads for Capitalism
hype, check early and often to radicalsforcapitalism.com
Thanks for kind words from all who listened today.
