Not the fresh-making power of Mentos, but drug-smuggling airplane types?:
Two U.S. air marshals pleaded guilty Monday to accepting money to smuggle cocaine on a flight to Las Vegas and agreed to cooperate with prosecutors.
The marshals admitted they accepted $15,000 to use their positions as air marshals to bypass airport security and smuggle 15 pounds of cocaine....
The men face 10 years to life in prison and a maximum fine of $4 million on the smuggling charge, and 15 years in prison and a $250,000 fine on a bribery charge.

Things like this are why my fairly conservative Republican father supports some form of drug legalization and is strongly opposed to using the military in drug interdiction efforts -- prolonged prohibition inevitably breeds graft and corruption in the entities devoted to enforcing prohibition.
$15,000? 15 lbs of cocaine has a street value of about $650,000. These guys should go to jail for being so stupid and not demanding more money.

Picking up the Air-Marshal's luggage by mistake: Priceless

There is another blog item about Virginia Beach PD being sued
because they made basic math skills a criteria for hiring.
Since the Air Marshalls haven't been sued, here's a thought - the
dealers actually offered the Marshalls $150,000, but gave them 10%
of that, because they knew they couldn't count.
