John Boehner Defends Spending Deal From Conservative Criticism

Speaker John Boehner opened fire on outside conservative groups criticizing a bipartisan budget deal, saying that they are "using the American people for their own goals."

Several outside groups—including Heritage Action and Club for Growth—oppose the budget agreement hashed out between Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) and Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.). Many announced their opposition before the deal was released.
