A senior State Department manager Wednesday dismissed complaints that no one was held accountable for lax security in Benghazi after four Americans were killed there in a terrorist attack.

The testimony of Patrick Kennedy, the State Department undersecretary for management, came as Republicans demanded to know why the Obama administration is muzzling witnesses who were in Benghazi during the Sept. 11, 2012, attack that killed a U.S. ambassador and three others.
