A Newark activist being sued for misusing hundreds of thousands of dollars in federal grant money has repeatedly failed to disclose financial documents pertaining to the case, U.S. Attorney Paul Fishman told a federal judge this week.

The suit, which seeks triple damages and civil penalties, contends Fredrica Bey accepted $345,325 in funds earmarked to keep "at-risk" youths off the streets and instead used much of it to pay her nonprofit group's bills.
