Chris Matthews: "I'm So Glad We Had That Storm Last Week"

“I’m so glad we had that storm last week. ‘Cause I think the storm was one of those things. No. Politically, I should say. Not in terms of hurting people. The storm brought in possibilities for good politics.”

Even Scary Larry is shaking his head. You’re not supposed to say it, Chris.

this is exactly like the murdoch comment about rape/pregnancy. murdoch was offensive because you can't say god wanted the pregnancy to happen without also meaning he wanted the women to be raped.
here, qualifying the hurricanes good qualities to politics doesn't do you any good because you don't get a hurricane without devastation.

to put it another way, chris matthews is an idiot.

The difference is that Mathews isnt running for office.

that's if you want to judge it solely on a political basis. i'm more interested in the human calculation.

It's a shame that he couldntn't have had a more personal experience with Sandy. If he had perhaps we wouldnt have made such ignorant statements.

it is obvious that the storm was sent by God to keep the Mormon out of the White House

micheal moore agrees. of course they really believe in religious intolerance in theory. so they think god sent it to keep to rich capitalist from power.
