California Tax Initiatives Failing
Both Jerry Brown's proposed tax increase on high incomes (and sales tax increase on everybody) and a rival tax increase proposal are failing in early results.
With 20 percent of the vote counted, Brown's Proposition 30 is losing 48 percent to 51 percent. The rival tax increase proposed by Molly Munger, Proposition 38, is losing 25 to 74 percent.
