A's Pitcher Suspended for Failing Drug Test
Oakland pitcher Bartolo Colon has been suspended 50 games by Major League Baseball for testing positive for testosterone, a week after Giants outfielder Melky Cabrera was banished for the same number of games for the same substance.
Colon, 39, has pitched well this season with a 10-9 record and a 3.43 earned run average in 24 starts. This follows last season’s 8-10 record for the Yankees with a 4.00 E.R.A.
