Mugged by Fake Cops

Badges were the lead-in to a late-night robbery for two pedestrians

Two men posing as police officers robbed two Cliffside Park men as they walked home from a restaurant early Tuesday.

The suspects, who wore fake police badges around their necks, targeted the victims as they walked by a house at 9017 Fulton Ave about 1:30 a.m., North Bergen police Lt. Patrick Irwin said.
