Heavy Petting

Residents of the Italian town of Reggio Emilia better take good care of their pets. It's the law. They'll have to make sure that dogs have spacious housing in shady areas and that birds have a companion. They can't dye the fur of their pets, and they can't throw live lobsters into boiling water. If they break any of those laws, the face a 500 euro fine.
