Steven Greenhut on Celebrating Independence Day

On Independence Day, we celebrate the adoption of the Declaration of Independence, but we really are celebrating the unique vision upon which our society was founded, even if it isn't always "sold" to the public in an easily understood and appealing way. Of course, the founding fathers were hypocritical and human. Of course, our society falls short of its ideals. But as Steven Greenhut observes, those ideals are still worth celebrating.
