Police officers in the United States enjoy many perks, including so-called professional courtesy, which amounts to other police officers allowing them to speed, drive drunk, and violate every manner of traffic law provided they are members of the law-enforcement caste. Steven Greenhut says it’s time to stop treating cops like they’re above the law and to strip them of these special privileges.
