Brickbat: Suicide Is Painless
A teacher in the Charente region of France has been suspended for asking 13- and 14-year-old students to write an essay from the viewpoint of a suicidal teenager. An official with the education ministry says the teacher, who wasn't identified in press accounts, could face disciplinary action.

They could have spent that time writing an essay on how the wealthy stole their money from the working class.

Angry parents contacted the national education department and sent a copy of the assignment brief to a local paper. "The wording is beyond shocking," an investigating government official said.
"Faire l'affectation putain, vous chie peu!"

Yep, these kinds of discussions are only appropriate after a classmate
kills him or herself and trained professionals swarm in while parents ask "How could this happen? The poor kid should have known how we would feel and should have known the future wasn't going to be all that bad?"
