We set sail from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida on January 30 next year and return, god willing, February 6, after visiting exotic ports of call in Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the Northern Antilles. We'll be shipping out on Celebrity Cruise's Solstice, a big mother of a ship every bit as unsinkable as the Titanic and James Cameron's career put together. Double occupancy cabins start at around $1,500 per person and spaces are limited.

So come aboard, we're expecting you! Click through for details or go to ReasonCruise.com!

    It doesn't work without the (goddamn) hippie hair, Matt.

  • Brian Sorgatz||

    Matt looks all ready to have his record played by Dr. Demento. Rock on.

    I almost hope Obama loses in 2012. I miss the days when Reason whined about piss tests and the TSA, before it became the official hipster voice of the Tea Party Patriots. Still very clever, though. Drink!

    It would have been more amusing if Matt Welch was wearing his vallet outfit.

  • Matt Welch||

    I left my vallet in El Segundo!

  • BakedPenguin||

    I thought that was his "Isaac" outfit.

    Know your cruise ship pathologies.

    What are the symptoms of illness caused by noroviruses?
    The symptoms of norovirus illness usually include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and some stomach cramping. Sometimes people also have a low-grade fever, chills, headache, muscle aches, and a general sense of tiredness. The illness often begins suddenly, and the infected person may feel very sick. In most people the illness is self-limiting, with symptoms lasting for about 1 or 2 days. In general, diarrhea is more common in children and vomiting is more common in adults.

    Is STEVE SMITH still going to be there?

  • TallDave||

    I may go on this, my apolitical wife (who refuses to even watch the news) was surprisingly open to the idea.

  • Tony||

    Is it going to be as much of a sausage-fest as these boards are?

    I mean, I'm cool with that. Are any of you single and attractive?

  • TallDave||

    BTW, Ridley's book is fucking awesome. I highly recommend it. I'm buying copies for friends and family.

  • skr||

    Are you bringing the guitar, Matt?

  • Matt Welch||

    Depends on if it will attract or repel more cruisers! Nah, I'll bring it.

  • Jeffersonian||

    Can I go all John Belushi on you?

  • Matt Welch||

    Only if you do it during the "Minutemen" set.

  • Citizen Nothing||

    I'd go, but Reason keeps trying to put my industry out of business. (See KMW post above.) I'd better conserve cash.

  • BakedPenguin||

    They keep bumping the post, CN. You'll need to be more specific.

  • Lisa||

    Cool idea!

  • ||

    Hahahaha, jolly well done.

    Shouldn't that be "Ron 'Danger' Bailey"?

  • Fist of Etiquette||

    Once again, as I won't be going anywhere near your little slug-soaked barge, I am available to watch Hit & Run for you while you're away. I can muster a few scathing posts (and even fire off some thin-skinned rebuttals to commenters) to keep things going here. Warty has offered to pitch in as well.

    Patri's not much of a visionary. He's just rehashing the Oceania Project from the 1990s.

  • For fuck sake||

    Are you still trying to sell this puppy? Offer an incentive that appeals to your audience...Looks like Matt has a very talented mouth :-)

    Will Weigel the Libertarian be present?

  • David Weigel||

    You better fucking believe I will be there. I will be attempting to explain how I managed to remain employed by Reason all while advocating for the election of the most statist president in the history of the US.

    The fact that I am about as libertarian as Tom Harkin really makes the rest of Reason's staff look pretty bad, doesn't it?

Blazing winds will greet you at Jhapater Dhal as the terrain onwards turns parched christian shoes and arid.'
