Mr. Kerry Goes to Hollywood

john kerryThe AP reports that Kerry has asked the Federal Election Commission (FEC) if he can use $300,000 from his campaign fund to invest in a documentary about Iraq War veterans:

The 2004 presidential nominee wants to be an executive producer for a movie tentatively titled "Keeping Faith," by White Mountain Films. Kerry would not be paid, but could get up to a 120 percent return on his $300,000 investment, according to a March 16 letter he sent to the FEC outlining his plans.

Kerry aides have said once federal election officials and the ethics committee rule on his requests, then he will decide whether to pursue his ambitions to become a movie producer.

So what do you do when you lose an election? Follow the Al Gore model: Pick an issue and make a movie about it! It's nice though that Kerry has chosen a topic that does not involve a melting planet and impending doom.

Why does he need to use campaign funds? His wife is a frickin billionaire.

Xeones|6.25.09 @ 3:45PM|

And, like Mr. Gore's movie, i will not watch it.

It's free money. I mean, who wouldn't? Think about it. You get people to give you money for a major campaign. You lose. All that money is yours with few strings attached. Why dip into your own bank account when you have your war chest just sitting there?

What a loser. His wife is worth what, $700 million bucks or something like that? His house in Sun Valley is worth well over $5 million by itself. Why doesn't that schlock put his own money where his mouth is if he cares so much?

Can you spell Nobel Prize

T|6.25.09 @ 4:35PM|

So, with Kerry involved, I guess it's going to be as full of crap as the Winter Soldier report?

|6.25.09 @ 4:35PM|

No he won't talk about melting glaciers, it will be far worse: he will lie about veterans. Just like he did last time, and paint a whole generation of vets as mass murdering psychos.

Telly|6.25.09 @ 4:41PM|

What a big old freeloading, steaming pile of bullshit this highbrow, limp-dicked, moronic weenie-head is.

Ron Paul|6.25.09 @ 4:42PM|

What a douche, using money donated for a presidential campaign for his own self-glorification after he loses.

Rich|6.25.09 @ 4:47PM|

I suppose anyone who opposes this hates our veterans!

|6.25.09 @ 4:50PM|

Corpse-faced douchebag.

Telly|6.25.09 @ 4:52PM|

OT - Michael Jackson had a heart attack.

Mike M.|6.25.09 @ 5:23PM|

I guess he was for this documentary before he was against it.

And I really thought this asshole had decided to move out of the spotlight for good.

Do Kerry's lips seem unusually pink in the photograph? They look to be about the hue I would expect a lipsticked 12-year-old girl to have...

|6.25.09 @ 6:29PM|

Why would Kerry give a crap about a bunch of guys who were guilty of

"war crimes committed in Southeast Asia, not isolated incidents but crimes committed on a day-to-day basis with the full awareness of officers at all levels of command ... [who] had personally raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, taped wires from portable telephones to human genitals and turned up the power, cut off limbs, blown up bodies, randomly shot at civilians, razed villages in fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan, shot cattle and dogs for fun, poisoned food stocks, and generally ravaged the countryside of South Vietnam"?

Maybe he's going to apologize for those allegations, huh?

In college, after being the chair of the Liberal Party at Yale and winning debates against US involvement in Vietnam, John Kerry enlisted in the Navy Reserve. Safe enough. I saw no Navy on land in Vietnam. Even though Kerry was 100% against the war we are supposed to believe JF Kerry wanted to help the war effort and requested duty in Vietnam with one of the only Navy duties within the war zone as a "swift boat" commander. Right. After arriving and without witnesses, Kerry's sole testimony and connections got him 3 Purple Hearts for documented "superficial tissue wounds", a Silver Star for Beaching his Boat under fire, and a safe trip home with no injuries after only 3 1/2 months in Vietnam. Since his return he fabricated even more pathetic lies about events and people that he could not have possibly witnessed and his lies fit the news media's agenda. Now Kerry is attempting to spend public campaign money to continue his media spotlight. Why do we even wonder what he will do with the money? All Kerry has done in his haughty life is ridicule veterans and the real heroes that actually earned medals of honor.

I'd describe his lips in that pic as pouty. Hello Kitty Fuchsia, with just a hint of glitter.

Abdul|6.26.09 @ 7:21AM|

s Kerry's going to interview all those students who didn't study well and got stuck in Iraq? Nice to see him reaching out to the underclass.

A movie that will be seared - SEARED into our collective memory.

Why hasn't this man been exiled to the iceflows? Why?
