Michael C. Moynihan | April 14, 2009
Last month, Jesse Walker flagged a "strategic report" by the Missouri Information Analysis Center that alerted police to a potential rise in "militia activity" and how to spot militia members: "It is not uncommon for militia members to display Constitution Party, Campaign for Liberty, or Libertarian material. These members are usually supporters of former Presidential Candidate: Ron Paul, Chuck Baldwin, and Bob Barr." But according to a report in the Washington Times, the Department of Homeland Security has released a report on "rightwing extremist activity" that identifies those who "reject federal authority in favor of state or local authority" as fruitcake extremists that might blowup federal buildings:
The Department of Homeland Security is warning law enforcement officials about a rise in "rightwing extremist activity," saying the economic recession, the election of America's first black president and the return of a few disgruntled war veterans could swell the ranks of white-power militias. A footnote attached to the report by the Homeland Security Office of Intelligence and Analysis defines "rightwing extremism in the United States" as including not just racist or hate groups, but also groups that reject federal authority in favor of state or local authority.
"It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single-issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration," the warning says.
The White House has distanced itself from the analysis. When asked for comment on its contents, White House spokesman Nick Shapiro said, "The President is focused not on politics but rather taking the steps necessary to protect all Americans from the threat of violence and terrorism regardless of its origins. He also believes those who serve represent the best of this country, and he will continue to ensure that our veterans receive the respect and benefits they have earned."
The nine-page document was sent to police and sheriff's departments across the United States on April 7 under the headline, "Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment." It says the federal government "will be working with its state and local partners over the next several months" to gather information on "rightwing extremist activity in the United States."

suddenly now the militia are now the enemy again. and so the cycle
continues. (and how many are more outraged by this than by last
administration, who were more outraged by the previous one... and
how...)
*head explodes*
RP and constitution party stuff just says that we're dealing with a
twaddlenock. no law against that, yet...
Which is precisely why I put a Gadsden flag sticker on my car after reading this report.
You know who the DHS should really be on the lookout for?
Episcopalians.
And the BPOE.
Wait a sec.. So folks who think the Constitution was a pretty good idea are "dangerous radicals," but Bill Ayers and company who really DID build bombs and want to overthrow the government are "respected academics?"
I guess the Texas govener is in shackles right now in an undisclosed holding cell for talking about the 10th amendment.....and so it goes.
White House spokesman Nick Shapiro said, "The President is
focused not on politics
And I believe him.
Holy cow. I have a Culpeper Minutemen flag plate on the front of my car. Uh, oh.
Well, that pretty much includes anyone who says anything in
disagreement with Obama and his leftist brown shirt squad.
Obama: "The sky is gray today."
Little Sasha: "It's got some blue in it too, Daddy."
Brown Shirts: "Quick! The kid's an extremist! Grab
her!"
...and little Sasha is now in detainment for questioning.
Why screw
around with the Washnigton Times? The real report is here…call the

these terrorist ron paul supporters need to be rounded up? tell

Not much new here.this line of
attack
from the Feds has been taking place for years.
They also love to conflate the ideas of being opposed to tyranny
with being a racist(kinda like Reason magazine did a year or so
ago). The thing that has changed is now you are allowed to say the
government really considers it's own people a bigger threat than
the arabs without everyone saying you are crazy. I guess this
expalins why Bush likes to kiss and hold hands with the House of
Saud demigods and Obama prostrates before them...while practically
preferring to take a dump on ron paul's face before they let him
audit fort knox.

*peels "Respect your Mother" bumper sticker off of prius. Gets caught up in cloud of smug. ends up pleasuring tailpipe*
Well I'm going to take this a sign of our growing strength. DHS is scared of us!
The report doesn't say Ron Paul supporters or people who see immigration as a key issue are militia members, but that militia members may indicate these traits. It isn't a 1-to-1 correlation. Libertarians, being anti-Statist, tend to attract those who fear the government but do not understand or embrace the other implications of libertarianism, such as social liberalism or open borders. Thus, the document makes sense and isn't some sort of anti-libertarian hit-piece.
There is a rising menace in the form of left-wing extremism. It
is characterized by a stated desire to redistribute the wealth of
those who earned it to those who did not. These extremists will
often cloak their agenda with a dog whistle term such as "social
justice". Their leaders may attend churches to gain standing in a
community. Often they will adopt the speaking style of their
pastor. Many of these people will have spent considerable time
living overseas and will, in private, identify themselves as
citizens of the world rather than as American. Individuals may be
identified by their inability to pronounce certain common words
that most Americans grew up hearing, or by a general lack of
knowledge about the United States and its history. Leftwing
families will encourage their children and grandchildren to reject
allegiance to just one country. Often they will do this by a simple
lie - they will tell the child he or she was born in another
country. This will confuse the child, and the child will not bond
with any particular nation.
Militia officers are monitoring this situation and will notify the
citizenry if action needs to be taken.
There's an effort going around to try to discredit opponents of
the Obama administration as dangerous right-wing radicals bent on
violent revolution.
It's all part of the effort to paint the Republicans as a rump
party filled with crazy people.
Of course, there are loons out there, but conflating the 'Tea
Parties' with white supremacist militias is absurd. Yet, that's
basically what they are trying to do.
I am more concerned about "My Other Car is a Broom" stickers. The Wiccan agenda is quite insidious...
The anti-state right lives again! Or at least as long as there's
a Democrat in the Oval Office.
That new Presidents give a shot in the arm to their opposite
ideological extremes is hardly a new thing. It's rather hard to be
an extremist in support of the party in power.
The real problem with this is not some Alex Jones pipe-dream of
9/11 troofers being rounded up by the DHS, but rather the much more
plausible (and perhaps inevitable) PR spin from Obama and his
lackies that will try to smear the whole broad category of
libertarian-conservative opposition to Obama as "extremist", with
the implicit association with violence and domestic terrorism.
Their attempts to deny opposition as non-existent obviously aren't
working, and the fact that there *are* nuts out there who can sound
depressingly anti-authoritarian before they go out and kill
innocent people could easily provide a catalyst.
DHS isn't interested in a bunch of mewling, mama's-basement-dwelling pussies like yourselves. You should be focusing on your real enemies, like hygenie and attractive women, instead of nursing your victimhood like Dave Vitter with a roll of quarters and hooker's tit.
"They can't put us all in jail, can they?"
Eventually they'll have to transfer us to internment camps, but I
don't think it will be too hard for them.
Radical Militia-types and CPers discredit themselves enough
already. This is like picking on the retarded kid...where's the
sport in that?
The government should leave the crazies to stew in their own crazy
juices and not validate their worldview.

You libertarians love your child rapists, don't you.
I love this bit:
saying the economic recession, the election of America's first

could swell the ranks of white-power militias.
A racist hiding in every flower bed.
They should see if anybody who worked in the internment camps in WWII is still alive. You know, for advice.
In the 1980's, the FBI had an informant inside the Libertarian National Committee. They probably still do.
Kyle Munkittrick ...if it is just good innocent analysis then
why would they need this document to be protected from FOIA?
Why keep this secret? Shouldn't we all be allowed in on the warning
signs?
Why conflate being against the Federal Reserve with being a racist?
The percentages of people who have theoretical problems with the
current monetary system who are racists is not significantly
different than the general population.
Most of the domestic terror events have been done either by
military trained killers or by people on psychotropic drugs. Why
not pick out these two indicators? Why not pick out the people who
live with there parents and/or are unemployed...you rarely see
employed people with kids going on shooting rampages even if they
are anti-government.
Because of these logical inconsistencies it seems the report is
designed to confuse the real issues and just villanize those who do
not fellate the IRS, gun prohibition, the Fed and Obama.

The Obama administration will not get away with the gangraping
of the constitution the Bushies did because his supporters won't
just sit around and let it happen like Bush's did.
The reason "right-wing extremists" are people to watch is because
they don't display any sense of consistency or rationality. Where
were they when Bush took steps to turn the country into a two-bit
police state? They twiddled their thumbs during the most radical
transformation of government power (and the most flagrant abuses of
it) in modern times. Because it was Republicans, and anything they
do is OK because they're protecting our babies.
The nation's first black president, a liberal, is bound to stir up
the crazies. Reason is certainly not the most popular hangout for

trivial.

this document to be protected from FOIA?
Because frankly of all the people that see this report as another

economist,
Not that I expect you to pay attention to leftwing activism, but
they are actually holding Obama's feet to the fire on abuse of
power issues. Whether they're able to influence him I don't know.
But I do know that during the Bush nightmare the yahoos of the
right couldn't get enough indefinite detention and torture.
Tony,
Doubtless you could point to some leftoid organization that's been
bothered by Obama's actions. But they're in the minority. Most on
the left are perfectly happy to excuse anything he does, which is
why I thought you're idea that his administration wouldn't get away
with violating the constitution utterly hilarious.
The Obama administration will not get away with the
gangraping of the constitution the Bushies did because his
supporters won't just sit around and let it happen like Bush's
did.
So far, he hasn't rolled back a single Bush administration security
or surveillance practice, although he did give them new names. So
far, his supporters have let him get away with that.
So far, he has expanded the unconstitutional intrusion of the
federal government into the economy. His supporters have let him
get away with that, as well.
C'mon, Tony! Reality-based, remember?
Kolohe,
Your welcome and your answers are satisfactory. I still don't like
the secret profiling aspect of this. I'm glad some good person
leaked the documents.
For all the people here who seem to be saying "I trust our
government to love us"...what about Obama's promise of
transparency? do you not at a minimum agree that this type of
document should be subject to FOIA?
NO. Barack Obama would never go back on his promises! EVER! You're all just being really mean!

And wasn't Tony just arguing a few weeks ago that Obama was an
improvement on the civil liberties front?
*I don't think there's a chance in hell.
Tony,
It is nice to see Glenn Greenwald call out the corruption and I
also consider him to be one of the best democrat type
columnists.
It is not surprising then to see him shunned by the MSM just as the
anti-war libertarians have been for years. Seeing how this works in
detail over the years gives me a little less hope that Greenwald
will be much of a force in stopping folks like Richard Haas and
Zbignew Zebrinski from steering the agenda more than popular
internet columnists.
I think it is a little ignorant to say that there haven't been any
avid anti-war, anti-power centralization columnists from the
libertarain side. While a lot of the Reason folks were following
the NYT, WSJ, Washington Post, MSNBC, NPR, Fox News...pro-Iraq war
craziness in 2002-2003...there were several dozen columnists at
anti-war.com and mises.org that were challenging the neo-cons
adamantly.
We have even seen strong evidence of intellectual cross pollination
between Greenwald's discussion and the more Ron Paul type folks.
Hopefully the constant reminders from anti-war liberatarians that
Obama has no intention of stopping the machine will help keep the
Greenwald's from turning into hippocrites.
Liberals tend not to be idealists, economist. We aren't waiting around for a Ron Paul-type to deliver us to the promised land. Obama is an improvement on Bush in just about every way, yes. The most progressive president since, well, Nixon. It's a step forward, and that's all we can really hope for.
The report says prominent civil rights organizations have
observed an increase in anti-Hispanic crimes over the past five
years. That tracks misleading
statements from the far-left SPLC.
And, compare the report to past false statements
from Obama.
Also note that Reason has been quite kindly to the SPLC.
The constant wave of spoofs stopped being funny a while back. Once in a while, okay. All the time, not so much.
Shorter Tony: Obama might have reneged on his promises to scale back Bush administration abuses of civil liberties, and he may have new violations of the constitution in store, but it's OK because he's "progressive". Gee, that makes it all better.

Also, I like how you characterized the issue as left extremists as
democratic elections rather than "fat white guys in congress
playing with other people's money". And the former is absolutely
more dangerous. Congressional spending effects everyone who pays
taxes. There are only so many bullets in a gun.
So if Obama and Congress continue down this path, indignant Democrats will vote Republican in 2010?
"There is a rising menace in the form of left-wing
extremism"
Yes -- ELF, New Black Panthers, Code Pink, the RNC8...
Bush's anti civil liberty policies were not made in a vacuum. As
wrong headed and ineffective as they are, he at least had a reason.
Ideally Bush would have never implemented them or scrapped them
after a short time. Realistically they would be scaled back over
time as the fear of 9/11 faded and the populace, courts and
honorable politicians (no I am not trying to be funny) demanded a
return to constitutionality.
Obama was/is in a perfect position to take big steps in this
rollback. He would be praised for it. The fact he hasn't suggest
two possibilities to me. One, he has intelligence that there are
grave threats to the US and these programs have been effective. Or
two, he is a power hungry megalomaniac.
I laughed so hard I rosebudded a little.

It's not something they are "going to the mattresses" over, in a
manner of speaking.
They go to the matresses over issues like "deregulation", how much

expropriate, how many social welfare programs they can fund, and
the extent to which they are allowed to ass rape private
industry.
They'll waffle on Guantanamo, and quietly mumble a bit, but what

I'm a little astounded that someone has the balls to imply that the vast majority of partisans, whether they are DemoRATs or ReTHUGlicans (their little names for each other are so cute), gives two shits about anything other than power. I mean, really.
Epi - don't forget about practicing their UFC moves after greasing up with crisco sticks!
So, if one has previously opined that Randy Weaver rocks, one is an "extremist?" Does anybody remember the immediate, unqualified defenses of the thugs who murdered Weaver's wife? We should never forget that those who wear one of Caesar's clown costumes should be presumed to be the enemy.
Epi - don't forget about practicing their UFC moves after
greasing up with crisco sticks!
How do you know what I did last night?!? GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!!
Many of those who attacked Randy Weaver conflated white separatism with white supremacy and when called on such intellectually lazy conflation responded that it was a distinction without a difference. Such a mindset is intellectually inferior.
Episiarch,
Your perfect date is ready for you. In fact, I'm surprised that
she didn't mention you by name in her video.
As a denizen of DHS I can tell you where this report came from.
DHS has a section called intelligence and anlysis. That section is
supposed to be the leiason between the intel community and DHS and
state and local law enforcement. They are supposed to go out and
get intel and work it into usable information and bulletins that
state and local law enforcement can use.
It is a good idea in theory. The problem is that the intel
community is broke. They rarely have any actionable intelligence
and when they do the last thing they would ever consider doing is
sharing it with law enforcement. I mean really what is law
enforcement going to do? They are going to go out and arrest people
and fuck up my source that is making my career as an intel person.
We wouldn't want that would we? So I&A never gets shit. As a
result, they spend their lives piecing together things like this
that are based on imagination and open source information and are
generally usless.
This is not a case of the evil BO going out and trying to crack
down on his opponents. This is a case of a federal bureaucracy
being unable to do anything productive or useful.
Libertymike,
White separatism, White supremacy, they both begin with White,
right?
ProL, that level of crazy makes even me wary. Not that that's
ever stopped me, but still.
Stop projecting, NutraSweet.
John,
Did you just confess to being the DHS plant on the REASON boards?
Keeping tabs on us, eh?
Now if I could only prove my theory that LoneWacko is a Border Patrol plant . . .
I think white separatism is just white supremacy with a prettier mask, but that's not the point; however odious I find Randy Weaver's belief system, he wasn't hurting anybody and the feds should've damned well left him alone.
I'm back, for good I think. Ewwww...liberal dogma is the pits,
it'll take me weeks to get the Kos Kid stench off of me. One even
tried to bite me, but I remained calm and destroyed its brain with
a pitchfork. Their shambling stinking rot will give me nightmares
for weeks.
Good to be back H&R!
I think white separatism is just white supremacy with a
prettier mask, but that's not the point; however odious I find
Randy Weaver's belief system, he wasn't hurting anybody and the
feds should've damned well left him alone.
It's all fun and games until someone saws off a shotgun below the
tax limit.
Jennifer,
Essentially yes. Apparently there are nuances that I didn't catch
from his reasoning that PROVED there is a difference between the
two. I also agree I'm not really sure what he did wrong.
don't forget about practicing their UFC moves after greasing
up with crisco sticks!
Not that there's anything wrong with that. Fish sticks would be a
little disturbing, however.
Naga,
I also agree I'm not really sure what he did wrong.
Still 90 seconds behind in your universe? Scroll up :)
I love the part about Veterans being suseptable to radical rightwing recruitment. Half of DHS is made up of veterans most of whom have high level security clearances. This has to be one of the most inane insulting things put out by the government in years.
Naga,
Also, from memory, he appeared in federal court for his shotgun
sawing infraction (his customer was an under cover federal agent),
but nobody recorded his appearance. Seems the court had their
records shuffled and were not expecting him.
He went back home and some days or weeks later his family was under
seige by the feds for failure to appear in court and some other
stuff equally "bad".
Oh, there was that fabrication of the thermal image of his water
heater being a meth lab.
HEB,
I stand by my comment. ATF sniper shot his wife over the federal
case which was . . . what exactly? For failing to show up in
court?
We should never forget that those who wear one of Caesar's clown costumes should be presumed to be the enemy.
You do realize that Weaver was a former Green Beret, right?
I love the part about Veterans being suseptable to radical
rightwing recruitment. Half of DHS is made up of veterans most of
whom have high level security clearances.
And the fake veterans join Iraqi War Veterans Against the War, and
other groups.
Episiarch,
I, for one, am disappointed.
* Crazy redhead? Check.
* Chick with no limits on drug use? Check.
* Ass for coke snorting? Check.
* Love of high-speed cars? Check.
* Willingness to include other women on your date? Check.
Really, what is your objection here? I'm calling her and setting
you guys up. I'm sure everyone around here will pitch in to bail
you out. Just tell the judge that you felt sorry for her, and I'm
sure they'll blame her for whatever crimes get committed.
We have discovered in this phrase bunch of mewling, mama's-basement-dwelling pussies like yourselves. trace ammounts of fecal material from a member of the Eoraptor lunensis species of dinosaurs.
I stand by my comment. ATF sniper shot his wife over the
federal case which was . . . what exactly? For failing to show up
in court?
Yes, plus suspicion of making 'illegal drugs', failure to have the
proper license and pay the proper tax for sawing off a shotgun
barrel too short. Probably a few others of that kind.
Pro Lib,
Therein lies the problem. She'll snort all his coke. We're in the
"WORST ECONOMIC DOWNTURN EVER!!!!!!!!!!!". He can't be spending all
his money on TWO supplies of coke.
"Fish sticks would be a little disturbing, however."
Do you like fishsticks, T?
Pro Libertate,
After Lohan's last significant other, Episiarch's afraid he's just
not manly enough for Lindsay.
You guys are forgetting also that the feds basically stalked the guy. They tried to buy a shotgun from him several times before he finally gave in and sold them one. I seriously doubt the case against him would have survived an entrapment claim had it gone forward.
In the weaver case, the shotgun that was finally modified, the barrel was cut in the exact place the agent asked for it to be cut.
suddenly now the militia are now the enemy again. and so the
cycle continues.
Que Morris Dees and the Southern
Poverty Law Center.
I'll grant that Episiarch might fear the financial drain of a Lohan relationship. However, these trashy celebrity chicks always bounce back. He can ride high with her next movie deal, then enjoy the very public crash. It's perfect for him.
You're suggesting he could get his own record deal outta this? Interesting . . . maybe I should throw my hat into the ring.
"I see this as akin to when Ben Affleck dated Matt Damon."
Aren't they the same person?
Willingness to include other women on your date?
Check.
Uhh...not that one. Though NutraSweet already beat me to it.
Look, you make valid points, ProL, but there are certain limits
that though I say they can't be crossed I'm totally lying. Lohan's
main problem is that she has awful taste in women.
Naga is K-Fed? Awesome.
Pro Libertate,
After Lohan's last significant other, Episiarch's afraid he's just
not manly enough for Lindsay.
Sugarfree,
You mean Sam, that underaged boy Lohan was dating? Surely,
Episiarch is more manly than that.
Now DHS is gonna track my whereabouts and try to get me to saw off a shotgun for em!
Ah, I knew you would come around. Feel your limits slipping,
Luke!
Just remember to scream out libertarian epithets while the cops
beat you--all as Lindsey eggs them on in a drug-induced
stupor.
We all forgive you in advance for having carnal relations with
Britney Spears. Who knew about her and Lindsey?
Wait, it's Lindsay, isn't it? Better get that right for future liveblogging of the Lohan-Episiarch escapades.
Now DHS is gonna track my whereabouts and try to get me to saw off a shotgun for em!
And if you were K-Fed, you'd totally deserve to get railroaded and imprisoned for a very, very long time.
Art POG,
You'd whore yourself out for all that money and blow too! And it's
good blow! Not just that scum I sell to Epi, either!
From the language (like 'historical election') used in this
report, it sounded like it was written by a xenophobic* political
appointee, or, if that is not the case, newly minted staffer from
the Obama campaign. I like to think John is right about this that
most professionals in the DHS find this report to be embarassing to
their sense of standards as well as being a useless waste of the
tax payer's dime.
* the alien society in this case being the one they claim a limited
degree of membership.
IT'S BRITNEY, BITCHES*
Really, Christina Aguilera is a much better choice for sleaze,
ProL. Or...Vitamin C.
* Britney was in Tacoma (?) Thursday and lots of fatties were
walking around in revealing outfits with "It's Britney, Bitches"
T-Shirts on.
Naga, remember I now know (1)what state you live in, (2) your
occupation, and (3) that you are not K-fed. The picture is getting
clearer, the pieces are coming together, be ready.
Wait, was it you or epi or lmnop that I was seeking revenge? Meh,
doesn't matter, I CHOOSE YOU!
You guys are trying to ruin Lohan! I like her just the way she is!
Naga,
I would whore myself for that kind of money for like a year or two.
Just long enough to collect my millions and retire to my estate in
the great north woods somewhere (with late winters and springs
spent on some tropical island) never to be heard from again. What
amazes me about the K-feds of the world is not that they whore
themselves out. It is that they always manage to lose their money
and can't stop whoreing themselves out.
If I were going for the rich skank demographic, I think Christina Aguilara would near the top of the list. Kim Kardasian would probably be at the top.
Or...Vitamin C.
How tellingly retro of you. Admit it, you were a HUGE Spice Girls
fan, too.
I would like to announce that I agree wholeheartedly with John on the topic of rich skanks. Good taste!
Picture Dennis from "Always Sunny in Philadelphia". That's
Epi.
You guys are going to hate me for this, but Lost and the Venture
Bros. are the only shows I watch on a regular basis. I catch a few
sitcoms here and there, 30 Rock, Office, but I forget to tape them
more often than not. So, I don't know who Dennis is.
Use to watch House, but then 13 became a significant part of the
show. When they introduced her character, I thought they brought
her in as a means of spoofing the melodrama Grey's Anatomy, and
that shows vapid, young female demographic but it has become clear
over this season, they just wanted a piece of that vapid, young
demographic.
Other shows like 'The Wire' I caught on DVD.
alan,
Surely, Episiarch is more manly than that.
Well, he does cook and shop at Ikea...
Phalkor for the last time! I did NOT have sexual relations with your mother! Give it a rest bro. Move on.
Kim Kardasian would probably be at the top.
Face(10), yes, ass (1), Good God no.
Christina Aguilara -- however, I consider perfect. Tight little
demon whipper body gets my blood flowing just thinking about
it.
Shenanigans! I call shenanigans!
HEB,
No one likes Lohan. Not even Lohan. Thus her acting out.
alan,
"Why are you naked?"
"To prey on their fear, move like an animal, to feel the kill."
You guys are going to hate me for this, but Lost and the
Venture Bros. are the only shows I watch on a regular
basis.
Seriously, watch It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
Seriously. The first three seasons are on DVD. Rent them.
Well, he does cook and shop at Ikea...
Pot, meet kettle.
Hey, Charlie did get the Waitress in real life, so maybe women
like guys who short and high-strung*.
*I doubt Charlie Day's like this in real life, but it amuses me to
think he is.
Alan,
What is wrong with her ass? I don't know about you but I am not one
of those gay fashion designer types whose ideal of beauty is some
chick that looks like a 12 year old boy. I happen to like
T&A.
No one likes Lohan. Not even Lohan. Thus her acting
out.
You just don't know what hottie crazy is.
HEB,
You shut your face! Right now! The hell I don't know!
Allright, I gotta go before phalkor tries to slap me with a
paternity suit over his claim that I'm his father. (sigh)
alan,
Venture Bros. is a good choice. I also must second Epi's
recommendation of Sunny.
You shut your face! Right now! The hell I don't
know!
Is that your Ninja signal for Suki?
Seriously, watch It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
Seriously. The first three seasons are on DVD. Rent
them.
Just put it on my NetFlix list.
John,
It is way to much booty for this some what white guy. I'm going to
hunt down the nude picture of her sloppy back end that horrified me
when I first saw it.
Well, he does cook and shop at Ikea...
Pot, meet kettle.
I swear, on the souls of my grandchildren, that I have never been
to an Ikea store. The wife mail ordered some crappy end-tables
once, but they were given away promptly.
Kim Kardasian would probably be at the top.
Face(10), yes, ass (1), Good God no.
Reverse those numbers, please.
I only watch Naked Archeologist and Deadliest Catch and PTI. Since the first two have like 8 episodes a year, I don't get much use out of my TV beyond live sporting events. I used to watch a lot of TV shows. But anymore it seems like they all suck or are on a pay channel I refuse to pay for.
Well, she does know what boys like, Dagny.
This, plus the near-admission that you and Sug have been sending
each other kitchen gadgets? Fun!
There is no entity called "The Left" or "The Right" or "Libertarians". These poor strawmen have taken enough beatings, don't you think?
I swear, on the souls of my grandchildren, that I have never
been to an Ikea store.
Bullshit. You're probably in there every other day just for the hot
dogs.
SugarFree, aren't you in your 30s? I mean, what grandchildren?
I swear, on the souls of my grandchildren, that I have never
been to an Ikea store.
Clever man. An Ikea store on a Saturday is a special kind of
hell.
SugarFree, aren't you in your 30s? I mean, what
grandchildren?
BAH! As if any of the kids really are his?
TAO, it's a dodge. Since he doesn't have any children (other than with his cousins), his other lies don't count.
Emma whatever her name is that was in the Harry Potter movies is not a skank. She turned out to be first rate babe now that she is no longer jail bait.

The awesome packaging for Venture Bros. Season
3.
I finished ripping it to my iPod this weekend. And I got the
24 Memorial
T-Shirt.
Sorry, John, but you should've watched the video. It's Lohan on SNL portraying Hermione if the mammary fairy came to Hogwarts.
Emma whatever her name is that was in the Harry Potter
movies is not a skank.
O RLY? (NSFW)
I can't Pro. Work blocks it. Sorry for not getting the joke. But the chick from Harry Potter really is hot. -
AO,
Are those the pics of her at her 18th birthday party? Just because
she went commando doesn't mean she is a skank. Also, she looked
pretty good.
Besides, I got an vasectomy in high school.
That's what you tell everybody, anyway.
The awesome packaging for Venture Bros. Season 3.
I'm afraid to look. I still haven't been able to eat cereal at the
dinner table after that one episode.
John - skanks can look good! I mean, I heart skanks. It's
OK.
But I don't know what you call "no underwear + ungraceful car exit
+ hypermini skirt" if you're NOT calling it skanky.
Those who support liberty and freedom are dangerous to fascist fuck Obama and his legion of dickless supporters.
Art-P.O.G. - if my old-timey memory serves, she digs your flavor.
Damnit ... I post a nice raging troll to get the liberals on here all worked up, and I get nothing for it. Just a meandering discussion of Ruby Ridge from some bystanders. Why do I even bother?
Hazel,
We're down to two real liberals now. The rest are fake. The old
liberals have all left to share in the enjoyment of stealing what's
left of our liberties.

To me, Ms. Kardashian is hawt in both face and derriere.
I prefer a 1:1 ratio of buns to anus hence Christina A being a 10.
but with Kim K it is more of a 100:1 ratio.
Ao,
I am not sure if that was a hyper mini and doing one skanky thing
does not make one a skank.

Watson has underwear on, but it is of the see-thru variety.

This may sound silly, but I just discovered the show iCarly. It's
on Nikelodian @ 8:00 pm ET. The writing is crisp and the actor who
plays Samantha is great at physical comedy.
It's like Seinfeld in a way, with Carly as Seinfeld, Samantha as
Kramer, and Gibby as Castansa. Funny stuff.

I'm afraid to look.

Emma Watson plays a witch, which essentially makes her a Wiccan, which means that she is automatically a skank. Try and keep up with the chick math, OK, John? For Christ's sake, do I have to do everything?
my only problem with skanks is the word skanks. I prefer the term, 'giving angels'. Skanks implies they are doing something wrong when clearly that is just a superstition perpetuated by ugly people.
http://cm1.theinsider.com/media/0/79/47/kim-kardashian-ass.0.0.0x0.500x570.jpeg
Really, John, I must agree with Episiarch. First, my patented
Skankdar went off when I saw her in the first Harry Potter
movie. The skank potential was evident even then.
Second, one skank act does make one a skank. It's what's known in
the law as skank liability.

**ha ha, just kidding, I've never heard a woman say that once.
"Emma Watson plays a witch, which essentially makes her a
Wiccan, which means that she is automatically a skank."
No that just makes her a hippie. Just because a woman has hairy
legs, doesn't mean she is a skank. Further, hippie chicks put
out.
But you know who else I think is hot that (almost)everyone
shouts me down for? Raven(-Symone). Thick.
I dated a slightly thinner, white version of her. So, I
got your back.
I prefer "cum dumpster."
Let's leave the mothers out of this.
I prefer "cum dumpster."
Now, how are we going to convince more women to be giving angels if
we use that kind of language. There may seem to be plenty of giving
angels out there, but over the years I have met some who just
needed a good nudge to be more giving. We need to create an
environment for them to feel safe in.
An even better word than 'Giving angel' which is a phrase so it is
a bit clumsy -- Nightingales.
John needs another lesson in chick math, it seems.
Wiccan set overlaps goth set with high coincedence, therefore the
likelihood that a witch is goth is high. All goths are skanks,
therefore Wiccan, for all intents and purposes, equals skank.

Really? I'd say maybe on a couple issues here and there he is an
improvement. Significant improvement? No. The kind of improvement
you'd expect after a presidency such as Bush's? Not yet.
Nightingales? Now, that's a reference I'm not immediately catching.

Of course I have, I just don't get bothered by prehensile talking

everyone on here should stop making completely sarcastic
comments. It's really hard to tell if you're being serious. Here's
a tip...pretend like nobody on here knows you; pretend you don't
spend all your time talking to other people via blog
comments....
seriously tho about the sarcasm thing...there are so many sarcastic
comments its just about not worth it to find the good ones....
For a moment, I was confused, and asked myself, why is Henry making a comment about politics and then it occurred to me, oh yeah . . .
O...kay,
I can see we have a male bonding thing going on over here in the
militia thread.
Why don't you boys get a few six packs and go do this out in the
woods somewhere with some guns?
Visits multiple men in the night? I mean, OK...
Maybe call them "honeybees"...you know they burn through those
drones...
Why don't you boys get a few six packs and go do this out in

Great idea. Would you be a dear and make us some sandwiches

"There is a rising menace in the form of left-wing
extremism. It is characterized by a stated desire to redistribute
the wealth of those who earned it to those who did not."
Hmmm...democratic elections = left-wing extremism. Fat white guys
in camo playing with guns in the forest = right-wing extremism.
Yeah, the former is definitely more dangerous.
Seriously, this is the sort of commentator this blog attracts now?
Way to keep yourself relevant there guys.
That guy, Militia Tribune, is always posting crazy dumb-assed
right-wing stuff here. I think he is totally serial and was in no
way obviously mocking the dispatch from the DHS.
Just kidding. That was me. I apologize if any "folks" were unable
to appreciate my funny joke. I'll use smaller words next time. I
don't know what this thing about democratic elections equaling
extremism is supposed to mean. I don't recall an extremist being on
the ballot. And certainly no socialist either. Hahahaha, another
joke. God damn, I'm funny today!

Hazel, stop nagging me, bitch! I'll take the garbage out later! Get me another chicken pot pie!
Great idea. Would you be a dear and make us some sandwiches

I'll be sure to lace them with Viagra. So your male bonding
experience can be extra special.
Henry,
Very well. On the posting, I am very offended and disturbed that
the government is tarring everyone with libertarian or limited
government views with a McVeigh-colored brush.
On Lindsay Lohan, she's really a psycho skank. So is Episiarch, but
that's okay, because he's a dude.
Hazel,
Are you actually a woman? I thought your name came from The
Moon is a Harsh Mistress.

Henry,
In all seriousness, you might like the long discussion
the other day about snark.
"alan | April 14, 2009, 4:11pm | #
lol I'm not paranoid. You're paranoid. I'm just trying to get
something out of this.
So, is that a 'thank you'? I graciously accept it."
ughhh....
Just think. In all this time we could have been organizing the
revolution...
"Pro Libertate | April 14, 2009, 4:22pm | #
Henry,
Yes?"
I liked your comment so I reposted it. That's all.
Henry,
But you left out the best part!
As for a revolt, I'd like to see one. Maybe the right-wing screwing
followed immediately by a left-wing screwing will generate one.

Thanks. I'm about to leave work, but I'll check it out tomorrow if
I remember.
Henry, you picked a very bad thread to drop in on. Some days we actually do manage a semi-meaningful discussion, but I think the subject report way up top was so screwey this thread was bound to happen.
How can I be serious on a day when Lindsay Lohan makes that kind of video? "Hi, I'm crazy, even when sober. Isn't that funny?"

Perhaps. But that news story really struck me as crazy...crazier
than normal. A sign of the times maybe. So I disagree. I was
expecting this thread to be really good. I see what you mean
though.

Just think of it as a performance art piece demonstrating what
actually goes on in libertarian militia groups.
IOW, the feds have nothing to worry about.
Wow I'm Double Fu*kd.
I have leaglize freedom above a Ron Paul 2008 above an Iraq
Veterans Against war.
This ENTIRE article has me in mind.
Wow.
Not taking my stickers off. They can rip my 12ga remington out of
my cold dead hands.
Fu*kers. Run you tweaky granola weatlh spreading fruit cakes.
You want to save the world. Do it with your own Ipod Cash.
Medic
There I was, getting all this attention and everyone just, like,
disappeared.
It's almost as if they never liked me to begin with!
woah woah woah. Hazel. the feds sure do worry. they worry when
we do shots of pure HCFS.
they worry about the children.
Question: if Epi and NutraSweet mate, would the result be
Splenda?
and the byproduct of one of the famous side effects be
Edweirdoooo??
Hmmm. I wonder if you could make a Liqueur out of HFCS.
that's kinda a good idea.
I think what really sent the thread south was one of our fake
liberals making noises about how the left was holding Obama
accountable for his assault on civil liberties. That's nonsense, of
course. No one in power gives a rat's ass about civil liberties or
limited government. Not any more.
There's not much to say about this except to note that as bad as
the right is--especially the latest ruling iteration of it--it
doesn't seem to go in for making unmutual thinking a crime the way
the left does. If I think power is dangerous and limited government
a good thing, then, of course, I must be a radical that needs to be
watched. Or even dealt with, if things get worse.
Choosing between these two stupid parties is like choosing between
the Scylla and Charybdis. You're screwed either way.
IOW, the feds have nothing to worry about.
What they SHOULD be worried about is the half-baked morons that
wrote the damn thing.
fake liberals making noises about how the left was holding
Obama accountable for his assault on civil liberties
Yeah, I had about the same reaction to that as sucking in two
lungfuls of nitrous.
wow - ProGlib, that's a pretty serious choice. Having to choose
is kinda like being between a rock and a hard place.
juris - what the fuck is wrong with you? HALF
BAKED? we're totally fucking baked hier.
have come up with a way to do something to the HFCS liquor and turn
it into some sort of dry pasty mess that you schmear on your chest
and taint, leave it there for three days, scrape it off, and smoke.
it's delightful.
now tell that &%$^&*(%(&^*(%^& pink frog behind you
to stop giving me the finger, or else!
Great Zeus,
I leave a thread for a few minutes for work, and it turns into a
horrid acid trip.
What's wrogn with you people? (Are there any hits left?)
Example:
Randomly Sample by Clicking on Different Spots of the Scroll Bar
Yields:
Oooops i meant ALF not ELF.
John you fool! Matt Damon is Mark Whalberg not Ben Affleck.
Do you like fishsticks, T?
I mean that thing is flopping EVERYWHERE!
"Why are you naked?"
Summer of 2010. Stupid fingers.
If some bum just started yelling this on the street, the'd be
locked up by Guiliani's Gestapo...
Art-P.O.G.-
As I have said to both John and J sub D, do not take my posts
personally. One of my five best friends in this here world is a
recently retired full bird colonel. He is a successor trustee in a
trust that I established and he is also a successor executor in my
will.
By his own account, he has gradually gravitated towards
libertarianism notwithstanding my criticism of the military. He has
grown to accept the difference between an institutional criticism
and personal criticism.
BTW, some of the best patriots are former soldiers and cops. Yes, I
am aware of Weaver's military background.
how about bier pivo biere øl, ProGlib?
bacon flavored.
Taxtix - no acid. just munching on canned fried cloned taint
fritters.
and I WILL HAVE YOU KNOW, I AM A GOLD CARD MEMBER!
Yes. It's that time again.
3 cheers for liberaltarianism!
Speech codes based on foreign laws, coming soon to a location near
you!
WTF, MlR... get with the topic.
do you want your turn with the Noam Chomsky Blow Up Doll or
not?
sheesh.
I'm regretting not taking this thread more seriously. The
"right-wing extremists are taking over America" news is spreading
like crazy. This is so obviously a move to demonize the right--and
libertarians--that I'm amazed that no one in the press is calling
out the administration.
Wait, no, I'm not amazed.
Well I'm safe. When they come for you dangerous rightwing
extremists joe and MNG can vouch for me as nothing but a "GOP
shill".
Good luck in the gulags guys!

Hate to be the killjoy but I could see that type of labeling start
snowballing into something people would believe in....i dont
know..

Reason's guide to spotting dangerous libertarian militia

Henry,
They tried this during the 90s, too, with little effect, despite
the confirmation that we did have domestic wackos with the Oklahoma
City bombing.
I thought loyal opposition was a good thing?
They tried this during the 90s, too...
I was just thinking - "there's another page out of the Clinton
playbook".
Good luck in the gulags guys!
Oh, we'll see you in there too after your cockfighting ring is
busted.
right. yadda yadda yadda. liberal media.
what. fucking. bullshit.
the media is statist along different axes. sometimes it's in GOP
alignment, other times it's dem alignment.
the media gives the assholes in power a pass about equally - just
on the respective axes.
Not going to happen, Paul. Kardashian's face is the only
thing I want near Mr. Johnson because she really is
cute.
Wow, thanks for that pic, Alan, that's going right up on my wall...
right next to
this one.
I'm not much of an "ass like a 10-year-old boy" kind of guy. But,
to each his own.
The "right-wing extremists are taking over America" news is
spreading like crazy.
It's just 1992 all over again. What's old is new again. Like I said
before, Morris Dees will again be a regular on NPR. His fundraising
numbers will go through the roof, he'll get another raise, another
sports car and another tennis court at the estate, and all for
simply adding names to a list in a newsletter.
You certainly can love your country and hate the government. Are
you kidding me?
The Contitution has been compromised by the Federal Courts.
I'd love to see how the DHS would react to the Founding Fathers. They'd probably consider them to be "domestic terrorists" and monitor their every move.
embrace the other implications of libertarianism, such as
social liberalism or open borders
When did open borders become an implication of libertarianism? If
anything, the opposite is true. Open borders guarantee demographic
and cultural conquest of the libertarian state by outside forces.
What sane libertarian would countenance that?
There's an effort going around to try to discredit opponents
of the Obama administration as dangerous right-wing radicals bent
on violent revolution.
Right out of the European playbook. Public denouncement of
opposition parties, with full complicity of the virtually
state-owned mass media, as "right-wing radicals", and therefore
beyond the pale of any right-thinking person, is how the socialist
parties maintain their stranglehold on power.
This from a Democrat run DHS? Remember when the Dems went into
hissy fits whenever anyone supposedly questioned their
patriotism?
The activities the Left complains about most from their opponents
are the ones they most want use when they have the power.
Democrats are good on civil liberties? Ha!
What to woory about so-called militiamen. The real threat is Islamic terrorism. It has quit an accomplished record.
""""This has to be one of the most inane insulting things put
out by the government in years.""""
I think days is more appropriate

What a big waste of time and tax money to go after innocent U.S. citizen just because they don't see things O bama's way! Could it be Hitler has come back from the dead or what?
