Words Pictures that wound, via
Jerry Brito, who writes, "Holy crap! Marie is right!
There is a resemblance":

For the record, I am not Rod Blagojevich, I never have been Rod Blagojevich, and if I were as corrupt as him, I wouldn't be talking on the telephone so much. And when I curse, my four-letter words come out as God intended, not with a bunch of asterisks.
Watch reason's Michael C. Moynihan and Mike Flynn talk with Terry Michael (yes, too many Michaels for one show!) about the massive corruption in "Crook County, Illinois, and beyond:

internships for fifty bucks?

They are the same person! Nick leads a double life, raising the
threshold for the price of bribes in Second City. Again does that
leather jacket ever come off. It must get a little smelly don' t
you think. Or is there some illegal immigrant around that cleans
leather for N/G!
Of course Obama had nothing to do with it, Terry. He can do no
wrong.
"So, there's no truth to the rumor that you're selling Reason
internships for fifty bucks?"
Wait..What?
If that is the case I want my check back. This is some
bullshit....I am going to go back to my original plan and bribe
someone at Slate
nice of you to lend Blagojevich the leather jacket for his headshot on the right, Nick
So, there's no truth to the rumor that you're selling Reason
internships for fifty bucks?
Or to the rumor that he's renting Reason interns for fifty bucks --
fifteen if they're meth heads.
*pats self on back for being ahead of the curve* (truly, I am a legend in my own mind.)
Nick,
You don't have the look in your eyes of a caged predator
animal.
Hot Rod getting elected (governor!!??) is just one more
corroboration of my thesis that no one should vote.
Ruthless
Drudge Report had a pic of Blago up, frontal, sporting a very Gillespie-ish jacket, a few days back. I should have grabbed it.
Peter Parker and Spiderman
Clark Kent and Superman
Has anyone ever seen Nick Gillespie and Rod Blagojevich in the
together?
Nick you might need to change hairstyles in order to disassociate yourself from his hairpiece!
Bingo,
Bingo.
Dick Cavett in the NYT called Rod's hairpiece a "bowling ball
cozy."
But, Nick, you will get thru this. Don't change a thing.
A likely story.
"For the record, I am not Rod Blagojevich, I never have been Rod
Blagojevich"
Just what I would say if I was secretly Rod Blagojevich.
Don't worry - no one would ever confuse a Libertarian with an
elected official.
Thank you, thank you. Tip your waitress, folks.
For the record, I am not Rod Blagojevich, I never have been Rod Blagojevich, and if I were as corrupt as him, I wouldn't be talking on the telephone so much.
There is an appearance of impropriety, and it must be investigated.
I for one, have never seen Blagojevich and Gillespie together.
There is a coverup here, and only the production of a duly
notarized original birth certificate, inspected and approved by
LoneWacko, will put any questions to rest.
What a funny and entertaining post, and one I'm glad to have
read!
Say, remember just yesterday when Weigel kept trying to mislead
people and got smacked down hard by me and someone else? Here, I'll
link to that other person's comment: check it out;
I was trying to make points A and B but was having difficulty
idiot-proofing it enough.
Perhaps instead of typing one-handed, Nick Gillespie might consider
the impact when articles are printed containing obvious
fabrications.
jeff - was he wearing ONLY a Gillespie jacket, nothing else? was
the caption "meet Rod"? (or, perhaps, "meat Rod"?)
I'm sure I wouldn't want to see that.
Say, remember just yesterday when Weigel kept trying to
mislead people and got smacked down hard by me and someone
else?
no
"Frankly, I think he looks more like Anton Chigurh. Which is
worse?"
Does Rod's wife look like Penelope Cruz?
I don't think so.
Of course, you're not Rod Blagojevich. Everyone knows you're Harlan Ellison.
24AheadDotCom,
And I refer you back to my comments.
Why oh why do you shill for government control/documentation?
Why do you shill for restrictions on my freedom to advocate/vote
for anyone I want?
Please note, I think Obama sucks ass, but I find this "Obama is not
a citizen" shit to be odd from people who talk all this jive about
freedom.

That's pretty studley! I didn't post the link until Mrs TWC told me
it was on Instapundit. You had me by at least a day. Maybe two.
I think Reason should run a retrospective of politicians whose
careers ended hilariously and abruptly. Anyone remember this clown?

He's selling internships for $50? Dude, you could take a ride on a Montana meth-head's butt for that much. Three times.
This does nothing to answer the important questions, which are (1)Did Obama know about Nick's attempts to sell Reason internships? (2) Did Obama or someone with the Obama transition team have contact with Nick about this. And (3) Did Jesse Jackson III offer his lunch money to Nick in exchange for the internship?
Regrettably, all of our agents are currently busy arresting
non-violent drug offenders, and we just can't spare anyone to
investigate reports of internship peddling.
Love,
Edgar.
Like I said, I had trouble idiot-proofing it. As one can see
from jayjayhawker's comment. All of its concerns have nothing to do
with the issue I was raising: the state of HI did not say what
Weigel et al says they said. In fact, they won't confirm Weigel's
interpretation.
If someone won't confirm someone's interpretation of what was said,
then a real publication needs to print a retraction unless they can
get confirmation.
All Weigel had to do was pick up the phone, and he had plenty of
time to do it.
Look for me to push this on Tuesday; Weigel still has a chance to
pick up the phone and get confirmation or print a retraction.

Like I said, I had trouble idiot-proofing it.
You have trouble with childproof caps. Whats the surprise.
What the fuck do you get out of coming here and having people
urinate on you and laugh about it? For fucks sake, there must be
more fertile ground for converting people to your army of
ignoramuses.
Rod Blagojevich was evidently looking for money when he tried to
sell Obama's Senate seat, so maybe REASON can have a "Nick
Gillespie Look-a-Like Contest". Hopefully the Governor would win,
and with REASON'S enormous financial resources(Hah!)you could offer
a substantial cash prize.
Either that, or Nick can go take over as the Governor of Illinois;
no one will notice, except he seems more smiley and debonair.
Why are writers always linking to things that are protected/unauthorized/subscriber-only/Kochtupus-money-bags-only or whatever? Is it so when I click to find out "what Marie said" I can feel as if I am being laughed at for not being cool enough to read what marie said?
Of course he isn't Blagojevich, he's Harlan Ellison.
Seriously dude, try a look from this century. Or at least the last
half of the last one.
It makes sense. A libertarian posing as an incredibly corrupt
politician to bring public attention to the flaws inherent in the
system. Problem is, the public's response is usually just to
replace one incredibly corrupt politician with another, even worse
politician.
As for the news anchor hair, Nick actually makes that look sorta
good. Blago looks like Sean Astin when he was on 24 a
couple years back.
