Interesting little charticle over at Mother Jones about some very expensive military-industrial complex failures, with this money quote from Pentagon weapons tester Thomas P. Christie: major weapons manufacturers are "learning faster how to avoid testing than we are learning to do it better."

The private sector is more intelligent and efficient (albeit in indirectly sucking up our money) than an unwieldy government bureaucracy? Shocking...
