Ordinarily, I wouldn't bother to blog the fact that the 19-year-old intern JFK reportedly screwed has come forward to confirm Robert Dallek's tale of their affair. But how can I resist linking to a story whose headline declares, "I was JFK's lover"?
Besides: By raising the topic of presidents behaving badly, I finally have an excuse to cite this hilarious little essay on Zachary Taylor.

The Taylor thing was a hoot. I got about halfway through it--to the secret clubhouse in the sub-basement--before I realized it wasn't serious.
National Lampoon ran an essay a long time ago about a fictional Southern senator who was ordered chained to his desk by his colleagues after he molested a six-year-old March of Dimes poster girl. "Hell, I thought she was eighteen!"
