John Kerry in Geneva to Lower Expectations on Iran Talks
Seriously
Secretary of State John F. Kerry lowered expectations here Friday that a deal over Iran's disputed nuclear program was imminent, as foreign ministers gathered to try to narrow differences over a proposal to ease some economic sanctions in exchange for a limited freeze on Iran's nuclear activities.
"There is not an agreement at this point in time," said Kerry, who broke off an extended trip to the Middle East and North Africa to join the negotiations. "Important gaps remain."
