Homeschooling Gains Fans in Minnesota

A flexible approach that suits a variety of preferences

|

It's back-to-school time, but more and more kids are staying home.

According to the Minnesota Department of Education more than 16,000 kids across the state were homeschooled last year. That's three times the number of kids who were homeschooled 20 years ago.

Some parents have adopted the trend for religious reasons, while others say it gives them more flexibility or more of a chance to specialize in a certain topic.
