Houston Cops Charged With Distributing Cocaine, Protecting Dealers
Two Houston police officers were in court Monday morning, but instead of upholding the law this time they are accused of breaking it.
Both are facing pretty serious charges of conspiracy to possess cocaine with intent to distribute and accepting bribes for protection services.
Officer Emerson Canizales didn't have much to say when we asked him if he wanted to make any kind of comment as he left the federal courthouse in downtown Houston Monday afternoon.
"No sir," said Canizales. "I'm sure."
Nor did Officer Michael Miceli.
"You can get out of my way though," said Miceli.
