Students Protest Ammo Charges Handed Down to Classmate

FITCHBURG (CBS) – Dozens of Fitchburg State University students showed up at a bail reduction hearing Worcester Superior Court in support of Andrew Despres, who’s facing charges for trespassing and carrying ammunition without a firearms license.

    Last I checked, for something to be ammo, you needed a minimum of "cap, powder and ball." There's no cap (primer) and no powder in punk belts, so no ammo. Also, Massachusetts specifically requires it to be "designed for use in any firearm," which this is not, as the primer hole has been drilled out and the neck destructively crimped.
