Michigan Proposal 1 Too Close to Call

Other five defeated

Five of the six statewide ballot proposals were soundly defeated Tuesday.

Only Proposal 1 — the attempt to repeal Michigan's emergency manager law — was too close to call, based on a live-operator survey of 800 voters by EPIC-MRA of Lansing, conducted for the Free Press, WXYZ-TV (Channel 7) and other media partners. Similar results were confirmed by early results from randomly sampled precincts around the state.
