A city police officer whose home was raided by the FBI last year was relieved of his duties indefinitely yesterday.
Lawrence Police Chief John Romero confirmed that he placed veteran Patrolman Pedro "P.J." Lopez on paid administrative leave soon after the officer arrived at the police station to begin his shift at 5 p.m. Lopez, who has been a Lawrence police officer since December 1997, has been reported to be the target of a federal probe for more than a year.
