  • Francisco d Anconia||

    Didn't Jesse Walker write a book or something?

    This is getting worse than Doherty.

  • The Rt. Hon. Serious Man, Visc||

    Carefully Jesse, this book signing is exactly what THEY wanted you to do. You're falling right into their trap.

  • Hugh Akston||

    the Museum of Sex in Manhattan

    I'm picturing multiple exhibits of miniskirts just long enough to conceal a penis.

  • ||

    I have stayed many times at the Gershwin Hotel, which is right next to that museum. And I'm gonna admit, you're completely right. Especially when I had the "exhibit" come up to my room.

  • sarcasmic||

    You know who else spoke in New York about their book?

  • Francisco d Anconia||

    Ezekiel?

  • Hugh Akston||

    James Franco?

  • anon||

    Maddox?

  • Archduke von Pantsfan||

    Hitler?

  • Pro Libertate||

    A common misconception is that Hitler was from Austria. This is incorrect. He was born and raised in Brooklyn.

  • Lord Humungus||

    and his father ran a kosher Deli. Good knockwurst.

  • Pro Libertate||

    Are you talking about Schicklgruber's Delicatessen on Graham Avenue?

  • Lord Humungus||

    The. Very. One.

  • Pro Libertate||

    They haven't been kosher since 1933, but people always forget that.

  • anon||

    Damn, and here I thought it was Australia. I so confused.

  • sarcasmic||

    A common misconception is that Hitler was from Austria.

    He didn't invent Austrian economics?

  • Pro Libertate||

    Yes, and that's another common misconception. "Austrian" doesn't refer to Austria. Rather, its a portmanteau of "austerity" and "triangle." A triangle of inescapable austerity, which is created when government is forced to spend less than infinite amounts of money.

  • sarcasmic||

    Was that a black triangle, perhaps?

  • Pro Libertate||

    Why yes. I see you're in expert in Austrian economics.

  • Pro Libertate||

    An expert. Or in an expert, perhaps as a homunculus.

  • Austrian Anarchy||

    The triangle was the only musical instrument I ever came close to mastering.

  • Francisco d Anconia||

    He didn't invent Austrian economics?

    He sure did, and then implemented the concept in the libertarian state of Somalia.

  • Hugh Akston||

    Wait Hitler was a hipster? Now I hate that guy.

  • sarcasmic||

    Wait Hitler was a hipster?

    Well, duh! Look at that funny mustache! That totally screams hipster!

  • Pro Libertate||

    He's the original hipster. Look at how he dressed. The bohemian lifestyle. The eclectic personal habits. The mass slaughter.

  • sarcasmic||

    A vegetarian who hated tobacco.

  • The Rt. Hon. Serious Man, Visc||

    Ayn Rand?

  • Scarecrow Repair||

    Matt Welch and Nick Gillespie?

  • sarcasmic||

    We have a winner!

  • Scarecrow Repair||

    You gotta be kidding me. Shit. Last time I play this stupid game.

  • anon||

    Hang on a sec, I thought someone here at Reason wrote a book or something pretty recently with that same title...

  • Eduard van Haalen||

    What's the connection between the Museum of Sex and conspiracies.

    Or did he just call and say "I'm from Reason magazine..." and they interrupted with "oh, yes, you're our most loyal customers, what can I do for you?"

  • JD the elder||

    BTW, the Museum is reporting that the event is full up, so if you RSVP at this point, you just get waitlisted.

  • Austrian Anarchy||

    Jessee, saw your book in the local Books-A-Million over the weekend. Spotted that cover from about 20' away. Far as I can tell, you are the only Reason writer represented in that store.
