Question: How come H&R was so much snappier with the coverage of the Myanmar troubles than the Pakistan troubles?
It's a weekend. The Burmese don't know about the American News
Cycle so they scheduled their civil right violations at the wrong
time of the week. The Pakistani's on the other hand, wise in both
the ways of the west, and time zone differences...
Oh Hell, I can only spew b/s nonsense for so long. I have no
friggin' idea. Did anyone really expect free honest elections in
Pakistan, anyway?
Howley just refused to admit that Greg Gutfeld actually exists.
Oh, wait, that was something
else.
It's odd how Reason tries to downplay, or just ignores, serious
issues like TheNAU, the NAFTASuperhighway, and the
LawOfTheSeaTreaty. If I didn't know that they pretend to be
libertarians I might think they were committed globalists
instead.
Maybe it's because I'm watching an Alex Jones crapfest on cable
access, and can't respond to that, but...
DUDE, INTERSTATES (AS IN SUPERHIGHWAYS) ALREADY GO FROM THE MEXICAN
TO THE CANADIAN BORDERS. LOOK AT
Crap it is a conspiracy! My tags were eaten by the illuminati
and trilaterals!
what I wanted to say is
LOOK AT THIS:
http://tinyurl.com/2m7dxt, MAROON!
*feels better after useless gesture, shuffles off*

I can't believe I actually saw the acronym NAU and immediately recognized the meaning. This is almost as bad as the time I knew what JBT meant.
Kerry is my favorite guest on Redeye, she always has such insightful and articulate commentary...mournfully she does not appear more frequently

"Conpiracy theorist fruitcake" and "libertarian" aren't the same
thing. If you look really close you will notice that there is a
slight difference in spelling.....
Burma also had the advantage of having telegenic monks standing
up to a repressive government.
Guys in robes trying to use Buddha against guys in military
uniforms with AK-47's makes TV people happier than a bunch of "no
good pictures" news in Pakistan about people knuckling under to
their own dictator.
Of course, I could also go all Democratic Underground here and
explain about the MSM doesn't want to be critical of Musharaff,
since although at one time Bush did not know his name, they're now
best boyfriends.
I can definitely see Bush sitting in the White House watching news reports out of Pakistan, saying "How come I can't do that?!"

You mean that [gasp!] Eisenhower was in on the conspiracy? Woe is
us! Sovreignity is lost!
Crimethink,
We still have about a year until elections. Maybe he is just
waiting until the elections are really close before pulling a
Musharaff type move.

Hmmm... Cultural Decline? IllegalImmigrationBySpanishSpeakers?
Random thugs grabbing power? Lunatic conspiracies? There's only one
common focal point I can think of! These guys. Invisible
(to sneak over the border?) Venezuelans (Chavez?) playing disco
(cultural decline). In their video, there are also sexy
stewardesses, who are banned (!) in Pakistan. Coincidence? I think
not!
This was actually on one of the smaller TVs in the bar, although
the sound wasn't on:
"Who's the cute chick with the black hair?"
"She edits a magazine whose subscription I once cancelled."

You go to bars with Fox News on? They must be wild.
Kerry,
You are allowed to decline invitations to appear on television. For
instance, if a demonstrably awful show, such as "Red Eye" invites
you on, it isn't in poor taste to politely decline. Don't sacrifice
your standards to save face.
Best of Luck,
Greg
Re: the Pandagon thread
I understand the symbology of the I-35 bridge, but what's the deal
with the floater dude(?) in a hawaiian shirt and hotpants?
In my high school history class the teacher told us that the way the government could build the interstate highway system was under the "Post Road" clause in the Constitution.
"Red Eye" is an example of the decline of our culture, and possibly of all cultures.

Oh no! TheBrownMenace has managed to InvadeFoxNews?
That was TheLast CulturalStronghold in the
WarOnCulture!!!11!1!!!!11!!!
Taktix, what are you on about?
I'm not LoneWacko. I was simply pointing out the irony in Kerry
recommending we watch the aggressively crappy "Red Eye" show for
scathing cultural commentary. Unless she was being ironic.
Okay, go back to your groupthink fun now.
A marked inability to detect irony is a sign of the decline of our culture, and possibly all cultures.

Irony? I thought it was dead.
