Great Saddam's Ghost!

India Daily says a dead dictator may be haunting Baghdad, as the Elvis of Baathism follows his execution with cameos "in restaurants, markets and so on." Its reporter reassures us that "None of these possible ghost sightings are confirmed by any reliable sources or Iraqi authorities."

It's probably just a sheet with a mustache.

Great, just what the Iraqis need to deal with.

I am more worried about his hometown building some kind of shrine to this animal.

Sounds like we really have exported American values to the Middle East.

I've heard reports that a photog from the WWN actually managed to snap a photo of Satan, in the form of a menacing dak shadow with a face, leaving Saddam's body at the time of death. I'm awaiting this week's latest issue to confirm, but delivery has been delayed a day because of the holiday. Curses.

Let me know when his face shows up on a piece of fried tripe

If enough people claim to see Saddam's ghost, is that considered a Weapon of Mass Delusion?

"Let me know when his face shows up on a piece of fried tripe"

I believe that is called the New York Times.

Never mind people, it just turned out to be Old Man Smithers in a Saddam costume trying to scare people away from the old mine so he could keep his gold claim all to himself.

He's probably just chillin' with Ken Lay. Ahhh, it all makes sense now.

And on the third day, he rose from the grave... So it's really true, Saddam is the Messiah?

  • | |

Of course, he was rumored to have used a dozen lookalikes to avoid assassination. Who wants to be one of those guys these days?

Interesting story about Saddam's regime and it's supposed aversion to working with Islamic extremists..

Not that this condones the invasion, but just an interesting story by TIME magazine

And he would have gotten away with it if it weren't for those darn Kurds!

Here's what's really happening: Some pervert is running around Baghdad exposing himself, and since he's well hung everybody just assumes it must be Saddam.

I think that the Saddam they executed was a fake Saddam. The real Saddam has a scar on his left eye, while he had no scar, no scar...dot com.

Would it be brash of me to declare that thoreau wins this thread?
