Enforcement Begins at Home (Office)

The Telegraph reports on anti-immigration efforts in London:

Five illegal immigrants were arrested yesterday while working as cleaners in the Home Office department responsible for removing illegal immigrants.

PM Tony Blair reassures that this will all be worked out in '07, when identity cards will be issued, "electronic border controls" will kick in, and Brits will sleep soundly in the knowledge that the janitors cleaning Whitehall bathrooms have pledged loyalty to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second.

Yes, but tourists will still be running wild in the streets. ...using public facilities at will. ...with no one to clean them but those who have pledged loyalty to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second!

As a tourist, I've found both England and Europe a bit lacking in facilities, public or private.

I find the US system of privately owned fast-food restuarants to be the most bladder-friendly, modesty-friendly, and safe systems I have experienced, in an urban area.
