Why We'll Miss Dan Rather

"Never give up, never back up, never give in while pursuing the dream of integrity filled journalism that matters."

That's Dandy Dan receiving a Peabody Award (hmm, who got the Sherman?). "I don't have a legacy. I'm not going to have a legacy, and I shouldn't have a legacy. I work in news," continued the retiring news and ratings anchor.

Whole thing here.

Long after everyone has forgotten the red headed kid on the trail in Vietnam...

Long as TANG goes back to being an anatomical reference...

Long after 60 Minutes turns into a funniest home videos show...

"What's the freqency, Kenneth?" will live on.

And that's the way it is...

Dan who?

Considering the contents of the preponderance of "legacies" we've seen on the nightly news during the last two administrations, I wouldn't want one either.
