Bridging the uncomfortable gap between what is robotic and acceptable to what is cyborg-human and acceptable reminds me of the scene in Speilberg's A.I. where obselete robots were killed for sport ... I can certainly see that becoming a reality of course, Speilberg's hand-wringing warning will of course, be ignored.
