Ask Them for... One Meeeellion Dollars

Free speech is pricey in Kent, Ohio, where the ACLU has mounted a challenge to local protest policies. The most offensive from their perspective is a requirement that protest organizers have at least a million dollars in liability insurance... a requirement that rules out public protest for, well, a lot of the same groups for whom marching in the street is a first choice for getting a message out. Last I checked, the more pertinent question to ask before any protests in Kent was: does the National Guard have plenty of liability insurance?

What a great idea! Will other states be picking up on this idea, too? Like DC, during a "Million" Mom March? Or San Francisco, during a Golden Gate shutdown by The Holy Church Reverend Jesse Jackson and his ilk?

That way, I can get to work on time for a change.
