Ouch.
It looks like the Michaelis interpretation of Schulz is getting
more attention for Schulz than his comics of the last couple
decades ever did. Certainly much more so than the other blander
biographies of Schulz.
It's kind of scary how much power a talented biographer has in
shaping the public view of a man. I wonder if Mozart was a genius,
or VAn Gogh insane, or if those were simply the most compelling
narratives from a few persuasive biographers to explain the
artist.
It is possible to under-react. Anyway this reminds me of another
