Syrian Opposition Group Pulls Out of International Talks

Not a hopeful sign

Syria's main opposition group, the Syrian National Coalition, is pulling out of international meetings to protest what it calls "shameful" world inaction on crimes committed against the Syrian people.

The SNC says it has decided not to attend the Friends of Syria meeting in Rome next week and will also be declining invitations to talks in Moscow and Washington.

In a statement, the coalition criticized what it called "international silence" on daily crimes in Syria, saying the silence "amounts to participating in two years of killings."
