NHL Cancels Winter Classic
The N.H.L. on Friday canceled the Winter Classic, the outdoor game that is its signature regular-season event, two months before it was scheduled to be played, on Jan. 1.
It was the latest and the most significant cancellation of the nearly seven-week lockout, which has wiped out the league schedule for October and November.
